I am the Founder of the Megan Louise Sands Ostomy Foundation, established in 2014. We are an organization devoted to creating awareness within the Bahamian community about ostomies, while offering support for ostomates throughout the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
Our mission is to help every ostomate live their life without limitations. Through our Patient Assistance Program, we raise funds to financially provide essential ostomy supplies to those who need them most — right here in the Bahamas.
It costs, on average, $4,200.00 annually for supplies for one person.
Want to support our journey and make a difference? Or are you a fellow ostomate interested in volunteering?

Our Patient Assistance Program provides financial support to ostomates who cannot afford the essential supplies they need to live comfortably and confidently. We believe that no one in the Bahamas should go without the care they deserve.
Through community fundraising events like our annual Run/Walk, donations, and partnerships, we work tirelessly to ensure every ostomate has access to quality supplies and the support network they need.
